Membership of The Jolly Archers entitles you to the following:-
Outdoor Shooting.Saturday mornings are primarily for beginners courses, coaching and practice. Distances are usually restricted to 60 yards or less for the benefit of beginners.
Sunday shooting has set times so that archers can shoot together and rounds are specified in the shoot calendar. Occasionally restricted due to open or club tournaments.
Wednesday and Friday evenings, 5:00pm onwards - club shoot. Some get together to shoot a round, some practice, some shoot for fun and some just come along for a natter!
Thursday mornings is when a number of our retired membership gather for a social shoot - but anyone is welcome really.
Jubilee Park shooting ground is available to established members almost any time.
Indoor Shooting.We have two venues for indoor shooing between October and March.
Wednesday evenings 7:00pm until 9:00pm and Friday evenings between 7:30pm and 9:30pm, we shoot in the rifle range at OneLeisure (formerly ‘The Ivo’), St Ives. A 20 yard range we use primarily for a Portsmouth round (but don’t feel that you have to compete - many shoot for fun).
Sunday afternoons 2:00pm - 4:00pm, Somersham Victory Hall. Again 20 yards, usually a Portsmouth round but not restricted.
Coaching.Club coaching is available to any member, usually on a Saturday morning but can easily be by mutual arrangement, just ask!
Membership Fees.£80.00 per year for adults
£40.00 per year for juniors (under 18)
